We are a non-profit organization making a big impact through partnerships with governments, national stakeholders, and our global network of supporters, working to address gaps in health and environmental sustainability.
GLOBAL INNOVATION FOR VULNERABLE AND ENVIRONMENT (GIVE) is a non-profit, community-based organization operating in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement (Uganda) and in Democratic Republic of Congo.
We work to address the urgent needs of vulnerable populations—especially women, children, and the elderly—affected by conflict, forced displacement, and humanitarian crises.
Our mission is rooted in social innovation, community participation, and hands-on action in the fields of health, nutrition, family planning, mental health, environment, and psychosocial support.
To support humanity by improving the welfare of vulnerable individuals, particularly forcibly displaced people and stateless populations, through practical, inclusive, and community-driven solutions.
To support humanity by improving the welfare of vulnerable individuals, particularly forcibly displaced people and stateless populations, through practical, inclusive, and community-driven solutions.
In response to protracted crises, GLOBAL INNOVATION FOR VULNERABLE AND ENVIRONMENT (GIVE) implements tailored programs across refugee and displacement camps.
Our work is rooted in a holistic, people-centered approach, aiming to relieve suffering, ensure protection, and build resilience for vulnerable communities.

Bringing medical care to those who can't reach clinics — including the elderly, trauma survivors, and the chronically ill — through home visits across refugee settlements.

Access to contraception and reproductive education for women living in crisis-affected camps.

Psychosocial support and safe spaces to care for emotional health inside humanitarian camps.

Basic health services offered in refugee camps to respond quickly to urgent medical needs.

Food support and treatment for malnourished children and pregnant women in refugee camps.

Emergency first aid provided for accidents and incidents happening inside or near the camps.

Solid waste management and hygiene education to improve public health in refugee settlements.

Treatment and prevention of jiggers, rashes, and open wounds common in overcrowded camps.
At GIVE, our mission is rooted in action, evidence, and inclusion. Over the next three years, our strategic focus will drive deeper, community-owned impact across refugee settlements and host communities.
We aim to scale up key services in Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH), Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Primary Health Care (PHC), and Environmental Health (WASH) — with wider coverage across all zones in Kyaka II.
We're committed to strengthening data collection, improving reporting systems, and promoting evidence-based decision-making for greater accountability to partners, donors, and the people we serve.
GIVE believes in shifting power to people. We will continue to empower refugee-led teams, support youth engagement, and promote inclusive leadership models that reflect the realities of those most affected.
We are developing waste-to-resource initiatives, community composting programs, and investing in a local health workforce so that progress doesn’t end with projects, but lives on within the community.
We are committed to delivering life-saving and dignity-affirming services in refugee settlements and host communities. Between 2023 and 2024, GIVE’s actions have reached:
